Holy perfect punk-pop Batman! Ploughing a singular furrow through the verdant fields of Irish rock and pop, The Dead Flags have travelled the length and breadth of this fair country, turning innocent bystanders into ardent fans; taking over the airwaves to spread their contagion and unleashing a string of irresistible singles to capture the hearts and minds of an unsuspecting populace.
Following the release of the acclaimed debut album "Gentlemen's Club" in 2010, The Dead Flags have positioned themselves among the very best in the Irish music scene. The much-lauded 2011 EP "You Got It Wrong" heralded their return and while currently in hibernation, writing and recording, the band will retrun with an epic assault on the hearts and minds of Ireland and beyond in the Spring.
What's New with The Dead Flags
With the lovely reception to our last EP "You Got It Wrong" and it's accompanying video, we're on a wee bit of a roll. We're delighted to annouce that we've returned to our studio to work on new material and an overhaul of our live show so we can wow the pants of you once again in Spring 2012.
We've hooked up with some wonderful people to take apart and put back together this great band of our's. We're also taking some time out to break in a new drumming-person and we're really rather excited about the new sounds we're creating.
Our new website is up (obviously, since you're reading this). Many bands don't bother with websites anymore, preferring to set out their stall on one of the many music-related social media sites out there. But that brings you, the fan (or indeed, you the media-type) to a problem: where do you go to find out info about the band?
So, while we have all the usual pages on Facebook, Twitter, BandCamp, SoundCloud et al., this site is intended as a central hub for all info related to The Dead Flags.
This is the only place you can find all of our tracks, photo's, news, press resources and everything you could ever want to know about your favouritist band in the world, ever (that'd be us, by the way) as well as links to all of our Social Media pages.
So whether you're a casual fan who drunkenly saw us jumping around their local venue and liked what he heard or an "industry professional" looking for the lowdown on the band or in need of a hi-res copy of our logo, you'll find it all here. You'll even find technical spec's on our live show and contact info for bookings, press etc.
